Obituary for John A Eaton

John Arnold Eaton of Quincy passed away July 22, 2015 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. John was born on May 2, 1941 in Rapid City, SD to Arnold Clifford Eaton and Viola Borah Eaton. He was raised on a cattle ranch near Murdo, SD. He joined the Navy serving from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1963, he served on the Bonhomme Richard.

Following Navy life he worked for the Airlines at SeaTac and at Todd Ship Yards where he was a painter. He then moved to Sandpoint, where he lived for several years raising cattle. In 1970 he moved to George where he farmed and worked as boom loader for more than twenty years. He retired from the Quincy School District after 18 years of driving school bus.

John is survived by his wife Donna Kay (Wraspir) Eaton, his brother Lawrence (Larry) Lloyd Eaton, his children, Randall John Eaton (Charolette) of Florida, Kary James Eaton of Quincy and Melissa-Jo Ferguson (Richard) of Quincy, grandchildren, Derek, Christopher, and Amanda Eaton of Quincy, Ashley and Brittney Eaton of Florida, Richard, Brooke, Katie-jo, Haley and John Ferguson of Quincy. Great-grandchildren Alexis and Myah Vargas, Ayden and Preston Eaton of Florida.

John was a loving and devoted father and husband. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family camping trips. His warm smile and easy laugh will be dearly missed.
A family graveside service will be held at the Bohemian Cemetery in Odessa on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM followed by a luncheon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Quincy at 1:30 PM.
