Condolence: We so appreciate his years of devoted service in the military and for his continued service to veterans and their families, especially at their funerals where he presented many flags, one of which I was fortunate enough to receive at the passing of my father. I saw him present flags at many of the funerals I have attended and his dedication and professionalism always made such a moving moment during the service. His presence will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Herb Petrak was a very special man. He served his country, his community and other Veterans's families. I addressed him as Col. or Sir as many others did also. His presence earned and demanded that level of respect.
When Col. Petrak presented the flag to a veterans family it always added dignity and respect to the service. The passing of Col. Petrak will leave a void in our community. He will be missed greatly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
