Condolences

Condolence From: Cindy McClure
Condolence: The Watson Family,
I'm sorry for the loss of Bill. He was a friend to many, and a bright spot to my days when I saw him. It's hard to believe that he's gone, which must be so surreal for you as well. He's out of pain, we will see him again, and I find comfort in that. His humor and chuckle is etched into my memory. I'm sending up prayers for you and please know he made such a positive influence on so many of us. I'm sad I couldn't make it to the service, but my Great Aunt celebrated her 90th birthday on the 10th, so I made the trip across the mountains to spend time with my family. Life is short, or at least, never long enough when you love someone. Take care~

Condolence: Sorry to read the news of Bill's passing in the Wenatchee World. Bill was a friend of my father's and employed me for two summers during my college years. I learned many lessons from Bill over the course of those two summers and quite frankly some of them were far more impactful than the lessons I received from college courses that this job helped me to pay for!

Work hard, don't make excuses for not getting the job done, be respectful and treat others with respect... these are just a few of the things that Bill modeled. At the end of some of the longest of days of the onion harvest he would meet with with that unique twinkle in his eyes that expressed to me that he appreciated my work ethic.

My last paycheck every summer included just a "little extra" to help me pay for my college education. While I obviously could not pay him back for what he provided me in my early years, I will do my best to "pay it forward" using Bill as my model. My condolences to the entire Watson Familly

Condolence: I am truly sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was a great and influential Ambassador for all of Washington State's farming community regarding significant and critical irrigation water issues and concerns. Bill was always one-step ahead of the game and I fondly remember his happy and jovial attitude. Bill was an experienced and trusted mentor to me for many years. I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with him side by side at the Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District for many years. Bill made a difference and he will be missed.

Condolence: Dorothy and I send sincere condolences on the loss of a very good man, Bill Watson. We enjoyed our many times together in the Republican Party with him and Norma; in the Republican Party, meetings, the County Fair Booth, campaigns, farming and social events. We bought a farm in George in 1971, and they welcomed us graciously and made us feel welcome! Norma, we know you have deep sorrow, and also have great pride for all Bill meant and did for you, and for all who knew him! A life well lived! Rest in Peace.
