John T. (Tommy) Peters, 86, of Quincy, WA went home to his Lord and Savior, and was reunited with the love of his life, Peggy, on Saturday, October 27, 2018. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his children.

Tommy was born May 7, 1932 in Frederick, OK to A.J. and Levis Peters. He joined the Army in 1952 and was stationed at Port Orchard, WA. In June 1953 he married Peggy Guthrie in Quincy. Once honorably discharged, in 1954, he and Peggy resided in the Columbia Basin area moving from Quincy to Kansas in 1967 to begin his career with Hesston Corporation. Throughout his career with Hesston each promotion moved him and his family. First, in 1968 to Great Falls, MT and then in 1974 to Dallas, TX. In 1976 he left Hesston Corporation to begin farming with his father-in-law, Herman Guthrie, in Quincy, where he enjoyed 20 years of farming. After retirement he led an easy life helping Grigg and Sons during their onion harvest.

Tommy was well known for his teasing. He loved giving his friends a bad time and had a nickname for everyone. He drank coffee twice a day, everyday, with his coffee buddies at what he called, his "office". His first "office" was the Turf, which became Paddy's, then he moved it to A-1 Stop.

Survived by children: Debra (Randy) Zolman of Quincy, Denise (Keith) Stocks of Phoenix, AZ, and David (Bobbie Jo) Peters of Ephrata. Grandchildren: Ryan (Jessica) Zolman, Raelynn (Matthew) Thorn, Craig Stocks, Jordyn (Jeremy) Martinez, Kyle Stocks, Rylee Peters, and Parks Peters.
