OUR SERVICES Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel provides a wide range of services to meet the special, individualized needs of each family we serve. We can help with at need assistance for traditional or memorial services, burials or simple cremation services, transfers to our funeral chapel when death occures away from home, or transfers anywhere in the world from here. TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE If your family's funeral traditions include having the casketed remains of your loved one present for visitation and a funeral service at either the funeral home or church we can assist you in providing a meaningful experience. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICE Some families desire the simplicity of a "graveside" service with the casketed remains being buried in a cemetery. Our funeral directors will meet you at the cemetery where a service led by clergy will provide a time of sharing. TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE FOLLOWED BY CREMATION This service includes all the elements of a traditional funeral service, with or without visitation. Following the funeral service the remains are transferred to a crematorium for cremation. CREMATION FOLLOWED BY A MEMORIAL SERVICE This service option allowes the family to have the remains transferred to a crematorium for cremation and then a memorial service may be held at our chapel or a church, it may be delayed a few days or weeks until family members can travel here for the service. DIRECT CREMATION WITH NO SERVICE Our direct cremation option might meet the needs of some families if they desire cremation without any services. |
