Obituary for Darryl Clifford Tucker

Darryl Clifford Tucker passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 73 on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at his home in George.
Darryl was born July 7, 1941, in Seattle. Growing up on Greenwood Avenue in north Seattle, Darryl became interested in motorcycles and everything automotive by working with his father in their garage. In 1958, he graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle. Darryl’s first job after graduation was driving a furniture delivery truck while repairing automobiles as a side job. Eventually, Darryl became an automotive body and paint technician, which would be his profession for the majority of his life. In 1977, Darryl moved to the Quincy area, and, finally, to George in 1989. In his final years, he enjoyed talking about cars with his sons and spending time with his family.
Darryl was preceded in death by this youngest brother, Dwight Tucker; his mother, Alice (Matronic) Tucker; and his father, Harold Clifford Tucker.
He is survived by his brother, Dennis Tucker; his sons, Jerret Tucker (Christina) and Bryce Tucker (Jennifer); his stepson, Michael VanVelkinburg; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Peyton, Addyson, Kyla, Ethan and Brayden.
