Obituary for Owen Leonard Lankhaar
Owen Leonard Lankhaar left us peacefully in his sleep on July 24, 2015. Owen was born on February 4, 2008 in Wenatchee and touched family/friends throughout his short but memorable life.
Owen’s life would seem too short for many, but those who were touched by him understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard.
He could spend hours cuddling and playing with those he loved so much.
He enjoyed music, swimming, being outside and everyone who loved him. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and opportunity to create lasting memories.
With Owen’s passing we are reminded his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his smile, he will forever remain in our hearts.
Through his teaching about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a blessing to be his family.
Owen is survived by his loving parents and sister, Michael, Taleah and Kaiya Lankhaar. Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins
His Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
