Condolences

Condolence From: K
Condolence: I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Consider Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subjected to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Condolence: Dear Carol, Fred, Amy, and Lindsey, We are so sorry about the passing of Travis. As we contemplate life, its happy moments, its losses, and its struggles, we reflect on the good life and character of Travis. Though we were not associated closely with him, we know of you and your family...good, strong and hope-filled people who have helped to make us better! We do remember Travis as a loving, happy young man with a smiling face! May the Lord bless you in the knowledge of the eternal nature of life and that you will be able to see Travis again. We think of you and your loss as a very hard burden to carry. Yet, we know your love for your family, friends, and Savior will continue on! We know you will help others bear similar hardship due to this experience and the comfort you receive and give to others. You are in our loving thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Though I lost contact with Travis after I moved schools in high school, I still recall his zeal for life, and his ability to make anyone laugh. He always seemed to try to make the world a better place, and seemed to repel or reject negativity. The world is a poorer place with him no longer in it. Condolences to all who loved, and miss him.

Condolence From: Tisha Boorman Cornett
Condolence: Reading Travis' obituary makes me so, so sad that I won't be there for his funeral. As awful as this situation is, Travis made everyone around him happier and I know there will be a million smiles through the tears as people share memories of him. Here's my fave: When grandma Betty was in the hospital, Trav went to visit. The reception desk couldn't find her and asked if she might be registered under another name. Not remembering that Betty is actually her middle name, Trav hesitantly replied, "Grammy?" I'm so thankful I was able to come home for Christmas this last year and have all the Boorman cousins together. The Christmas before mom died, I had planned to stay in Spokane but decided to come to Quincy with her just a week beforehand, and I've always felt like God orchestrated those events so we'd have that one last holiday together. And even though my purpose was to spend last Christmas with all the 90-year-olds, perhaps someone knew I needed to come back once more. Family time will never be the same without that huge smile and someone to talk to dad while all us girls gab. I miss you Riv!
