Obituary for Charles Carroll

The family of Chuck Carroll, formerly of Quincy, announce his passing on August 4, 2021, in Moses Lake, WA.
Chuck was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Gloucester, MA to Charles and Martha Carroll.

The family moved to Seattle his senior year where he graduated from Roseville High School in 1959.
He worked in accounting for the City of Seattle for several years and then for the Goodwin family until his retirement.

Chuck was very active in the “Happy Hikers” group for years. In 2005 he made the hike across England with his buddies, Larry, and Reggie. He was a lighthouse keeper for 12 years at Dungeness Spit Lighthouse at Sequim. Chuck and Geri loved the wonderful people that made the 5-mile hike out to tour the lighthouse.

Chuck’s hobbies included collecting rocks everywhere he went, and there were many, many of them! Big to small. He loved trains and could identify them by just hearing the whistle. Chuck constructed a large working model train and town in his back yard at his Quincy home.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 17 years, Geri Carroll. Daughter Patty (Doug) Stephensen, son Mike (Sherie) Carroll, Stepson, Robert Stecher, Stepdaughter, Cherie (Devin) Seferos. Grandchildren, Adam, Nick, Elizabeth, Nick, and Chloe. He is also survived by his brother, Dick (Sue) Carroll and nieces Rebecca and Jennifer.

The family would like to thank Easy Street Care Home with Debbie, Carl and Bailey and Assured Hospice for the loving care they provided Chuck.

A celebration of life will be held at the Carroll Family home in Moses Lake at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

Memorials may be made in Chuck’s name to the New Dungeness Light Station Association, PO Box 1283, Sequim, WA 98382.
