Obituary for Christa Lynne Gerard (Wight)
Christa “Chrissy” Wight Gerard, 43, peacefully passed on July 23, 2020 at Crescent Bar in Quincy, Washington. Chrissy was born in Kirkland, WA, on March 11, 1977. She was the second of four children born to Cecil and Evelyn (Lyn) Wight. Chrissy attended elementary school at Hollywood Hill Elementary, went on to Northshore Jr High and graduated from Woodinville High School in 1995.
After high school, Chrissy attended University of Evansville in Indiana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. While there she spent a semester abroad studying at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England which was a highlight for her. She was an avid collector of agates and sea glass. She loved all kinds of music and was known to play guitar like an angel. At the time of her death, she was employed by Compass.
Chrissy is survived by her mother, Evelyn Evans, her sister Noelle W Orkney, brothers Jonathan M and David W Wight, brother-in-law Tyler Orkney; sisters-in-laws, Annelies Ransohoff and Correne Wight; nieces Riley Orkney, Tivoli Beth Wight, Zoey Johana Wight and her nephew Keaton Orkney. She is also survived by her beloved friend Vorster Vermuelin.
She is proceeded in death by her father Cecil Wight and her stepfather Ron Evans.
