Christy Lee Raap passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022, in Wenatchee, Washington surrounded by her children Courtney and Kendan. Christy was born in Ellensburg, Washington on August 5, 1975. As a child, Christy loved spending time with her Grandma Marge. They were drawn to each other effortlessly sharing a love of finding peace in quiet times. They enjoyed many activities on the farm. Whether it was playing with a newborn barn kitten, baking cookies, collecting vegetables from the garden for dinner or making play dough, Christy always shared a strong bond with her grandma.

She graduated from Kittitas High School in 1993. Following graduation, she attended Central Washington University. Christy dedicated her working career to being a 911 dispatcher for more than 25 years in Kittitas County. She was respected and took pride in her opportunity to help save lives. Christy loved her staff and friends at Kittcom.

One of Christy’s hobbies included creating realistic art using different mediums but her favorite was pastels. She also enjoyed cross stitch projects, reading, and when given the opportunity traveling to her favorite vacation site, Netarts, Oregon. Mostly Christy took pride in being a mother. If you knew Christy she always focused the conversations on her children and how very proud she was of them.

She leaves behind her children, Courtney (Druw) Ledgard, Kendan Smith, her parents, Ken (Robin) Raap, Patti (Partlow) (Val) Ramer, Siblings, Angie (Troy) Anderson, Dawn Nogosek, Chanelle (Ted) Giesy, Jamie (Paul) Nash, Desiree’ (Thomas) Griffith, and Brandee Ramer. She is survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Christy was preceded in death by her grandparents, August and Marge Raap, Al Partlow and Mary Wildermuth.
