Obituary for Donald A Reini

Donald Arthur Reini, 91, of Quincy, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022 at Family Life Memory Care Facility in Nampa, Idaho. Don was born to William and Wilhelmina Reini in Wenatchee, WA on Dec 24, 1930. Don’s family was one of the founding families in Quincy. In his early years he worked for his Uncle Bill on the dry land farms north of Quincy. He then worked for the Lobe family driving truck. Don started working for Grant County PUD in 1961, he started as a utility man and worked his way up to Chief Operator. He retired in 1987. After retirement, he drove potato truck for Hodges farms.

On October 10, 1959 he married Sally Cordova. They had 3 children, which added to the 5 children from Sally’s previous marriage. Don and Sally enjoyed going camping, and traveling. They made several trips across the nation to visit family. He loved spending time with his children and grand-children.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sally, his brother Melvin Reini and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by: his children Don Reini (Daja) of Quincy, Billie Preston (Charlie) of Baring, WA, and Donna Neel (Allen) of Nampa, Idaho; his step-children: John Vickery, Susan Garred, Geraldine Avey, Linda Mann, and Rita Reed; and 15 grand-children and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Quincy on Nov 4rd, at 11:00am. Viewing will be at 10:00am at the Church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Quincy Cemetery following the service.
