Glendalyn (Glennie) Jones
Longtime resident of Quincy passed peacefully of advanced dementia on March 24, 2020 Glendalyn (Glennie) Laverne Jones was born in 1935 to Stanley and Bernie Brown (Webley). She graduated high school in 1953 moved to Wenatchee to start her first job in banking. In 1955 she married Donald Jones whom she met in high school. They then began their life together in Quincy.
Glennie & Don raised two daughters Kay Brewer (Jerry) of Quincy, Anita Lacher (Mark) of Montana and an adopted son Tony. Grand Children Dawn Helzer, Maxwell Lacher & Andie Lacher.
Glennie worked in the banking industry for most of her working career. In 1978 she changed careers becoming secretary at Quincy Junior High. She loved this job but mostly loved interacting with the kids. Retiring in Quincy in 1993, Glennie was able to help her girls and spend more time with grandchildren. She loved to travel in her RV every winter, golf and garden in the summer. Family and friends were important to her but mostly she wanted to spend every moment with her beloved husband Don of 65 years.
