Obituary for Lillian Bernice Anderson

It is with sadness and joy that we share that our mom, Lillian Bernice Roehl Anderson has joined our dad, Arthur LeRoy Anderson in heaven. Lillian was born on March 6, 1931 and gained her wings on December 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 7 siblings. Many people will remember Lillian as the baker at Pioneer School for many years, a custodian at the Junior High, and a Walmart greeter in Ephrata.

Our mom was a true hero. She was my dad’s caregiver for 21 years, she survived breast cancer twice, a perforated bowel, and macular degeneration. Throughout all of these, she never lost her sense of humor nor her love of a good joke, whether naughty or nice! She was also the reigning Yahtzee, Cribbage, and Skipbo queen of our family. Many people profited from her love of crochet and have remembrance's with projects she created. Family get togethers always centered around the amazing food she prepared and lots of games.

Lillian is survived by her children: Lynn (Ron) Spicer, Duston (Sue) Anderson, Dan (Linda) Anderson, Mike (Nina) Anderson; two sisters: Lois (Harold) Galpin and Shirley Brionnes, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and their families.

To say she will be missed is a huge understatement. We were so very fortunate to have her in our lives as long as we did and family gatherings will never be the same.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House. They are truly earth angels and took care of mom with compassion and dignity. Their care was also extended to her family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel, Quincy, WA.
