Obituary for Manuel R Castillo
Manuel R. Castillo, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Manuel was born August 24, 1949 in Galveston, TX to Manuel Castillo and Ramona Ramos-Gomez.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lupe of Quincy, WA. Seven children, Linda Garza, James (Anita) Garza, of Goodyear, AZ. Diana (Nicholas) Gasca, of Avondale, AZ. Joanna (Johnny) Martinez of Wenatchee, WA. Sofia Castillo, of Las Vegas, NV, and Michael Garza, of Seattle, WA. 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Manuel moved his family to Quincy, WA in 1979. His commitment to learning about farming and crop management grew and led him to this practice for the next 42 years.
When Manuel wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching football, playing pool and spending time with his beloved “baby doll,” Lupe and his grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his jokes, wildly entertaining stories, unfailing work ethic and devotion to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Castillo, mother, Ramona Aguilar, son George Garza and brothers Fidel Castillo, Ramon Castillo, Felix Aguilar.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, November 12, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 805 Central Ave N, Quincy, WA 98848 at 11:00 AM.
