Obituary for Regina A Jensen

Regina A. Jensen
It is with heavy hearts the Jensen family announces the sudden passing of Regina Ann Jensen on April 14th. She was born November 26, 1963, and raised Ellensburg, WA, with a few childhood years spent in Selah. As a child her favorite activity was riding her horse Nipper T. She attended and graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1982.
After surviving a broken neck injury, she met the love of her life- Jeff, in early May of 1983. Jeff knew she was the one just a few months later and they finally married on April 12, 1986. Gina and Jeff purchased acreage in Quincy and made it a home with a new house and many trees.

Her eldest child Corey and daughter Olivia were her world, she was an incredible homemaker and mother. Alongside raising her two children, she was an excellent at crafting and sewing and had made a very popular cowboy style bib that she sold at a consignment store- it was a big hit for many years. Gina held occupations in several positions including Veterinarian Assistant, Census Bureau, and Real Estate Agent for Gary Mann. After retiring she enjoyed working at a local produce and gift shop.

Gina enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years. She was very knowledgeable and talented in everything she did, she never bragged about any of her talents, but I shared them with friends over the years and had a few remarks about how Martha Stewart would probably be intimidated. She developed a huge organic vegetable garden- and flower gardens throughout the property. She also had planted many of the trees on the property, many she had propagated herself. She canned goods for her family and baked many desserts with the fruits and veggies she grew in her garden- She made award winning freezer pickles according to her brother. She also had a love for all animals, she raised any orphaned animal that needed nurtured back to health. Any tom cat she came across she tamed and gave it a home, she had told her daughter “you can tell a lot about someone’s character by how kind they are to cats and small animals” She cared for horses, numerous cats and recently she was having fun with the newest addition to the family, Larry, the BIG dog. The Seahawks were her favorite football team, and she would dress in her Seahawks garb for the games. To relax Gina would often be found reading books or listening to her favorite rock music- she loved 97.1 and 94.5 or a good hard rock CD while driving. She also was very good at making and creating crafts and teaching others how to do them. She was extremely organized and neat and tidy, the 2 messy family members appreciated that.

Gina was a devoted wife to Jeff and a wonderful mom to Corey and Olivia. Gina taught her children everything she knew and shared her wisdom with them also. After many years of anticipating the day, she gets to be a grandma, that exciting day finally came in 2015 with the birth of her first grandson, Isaac. Her family was her everything and her eyes would light up when she talked about her grandson Isaac! Friends and family know very well that Gina was always open with her emotions and many times had tears of joy when spending time with her grandson! Gina was very family oriented; she always made time to attend the annual summer family reunions and traveled back to Montana to visit with Jeff’s family, when her children where young she would read books on long road trips. She also organized many special BBQs for family and friends to enjoy in her beautiful backyard. She loved having friends and family all together. Gina was very personable and made people feel comfortable in her presence, she knew many people throughout the community and was kind and open hearted, she was always genuine and honest. Gina had a sense of humor and her kids enjoyed making her laugh when she was in a bad mood or sad.

Regina (Gina) is survived by her husband of 36 years Jeff, son Corey, daughter Olivia (Jared) and grandson Isaac. Brother Richard Gardine (Jill) and niece Reilly. Brothers in law John Jensen (Alma) and Mark Jensen.

She was predeceased by her parents Gary Gardine and Arlene Wills and niece Delaney.
In lieu of flowers, plant some perennials in honor of Gina's memory- she had many flowers in her garden from family and friends that had passed. Gina’s Facebook page will be kept as a memorial and friends are welcome to share photos and memories
