Obituary for Carol Dawn Stockdale
Carol Dawn Stockdale, 73 of Ephrata, Washington passed away at home on Thursday April 14, 2016. Carol was born to Willard W. and Barbara Arnold on December 23, 1942 in Billings, Mt.
The family moved to California during WWII while her father was stationed overseas. After the war her little brother Bud joined the family in 1949 and in 1952 the family moved to Laurel, Mt. Carol graduated from Laurel High School in 1960. Carol attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 1964.
She married Ronald Stockdale on New Year’s Eve in 1964 and lived in Ephrata, Washington. Ron passed away in 1969.
She began her career as a juvenile probation officer in Grant County Washington in 1965. Carol retired from social work but continued to provide home studies for many adopted children.
Carol was a member of the LDS church and an active volunteer serving on the Senior Center in Ephrata and the Columba Basin Hospital Auxiliary. Carol was an avid reader and worked occasionally at the Ephrata Public Library.
Carol is survived by her brother Bud Arnold and his wife Peggy, a niece Jennifer Blohm and her husband Josh of Laurel, and nephew Zachery Arnold of Billings. She adored her great nieces Karisma Blohm and Lexi Blohm of Laurel.
Carol was fond of her many cousins and extended family around the United States.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ephrata.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
