My husband Archie B. Thompson and Harold were best friends in North Carolina. They went in the Navy together and after four years in the Navy Harold came and lived with us in Palo Alto, Califoria. Harold was so good about cooking, cleaing and baby sitting for me. Harold was working as a plumber there. After about a year Harold wene back to Carolina and married Hen............Harodl bought Hen to Washington state and a year later Archie and Shirley also moved to Washington state as that is where Shirley was from. For many years we and our children would visit Harold and Hen in Eastern, Washington. They first had a single wide trailer to live in............and eventually moved into their big house. We as a family were all in love with Harold and Hen. We visited with them every year. They took us in with our three children and our dog. Harold visited us for many years when we camped over at Sun Lakes with the children. I talked to Harold in January. Myself and my children always checked up on Harold a couple times a year. We all were in love with Harold. My last conversation with Harold in January we talked about our age and what we should be doing...I missed Archie and he missed Hen....We both have had a very good life. Years spent with Harold that holds such dear memories
