Condolence: Kid........the stories we have shared going to Western as "roomies" are many!!!! And the times we danced the night away while you stayed in Tacoma with me I will never forget. You taught me so much about friendship and always got my paperwork filled out when it appeared to be greek to me. Hopefully you have dusted off that tennis racket and are putting it to good use. Rest now and enjoy a peaceful and painfree new life......Go Hawks!!!

Condolence: Karen was one of my favorite people. I met her in the late 80s and worked with her until she retired. She was inspirational, had a beautiful heart and always a joy to be around. I truly am saddened she had to leave this world too soon.

Condolence: As a neighbor of Karen's on Blue Mountain Road in Port Angeles, I was honored to connect with her (from time to time) as she waged her personal battle against the cancer that ultimately led to her death. She did what she could do and met problems head on. (No head in the sand for Karen!) Her sense of humor and strength at times of adversity were an inspiration that will remain with us. She will be missed.

Condolence: I worked with Karen from 1987 until she retired. She was so smart, witty and confident. At one of our offices we once had four Karen's in a very small space...you can imagine the laughs we had with that! I always aspired to be like her and to be an ACO like her. Well, I am now an ACO but could never fill her shoes. I am a better person having known her. She will be missed.

Condolence: Karen was a most competent and hard-working person, and good of character. And nice. I remember when years ago she'd visit her parents in eastern Washington, and return with ample dried fruits from the family orchard to share with coworkers. May her soul rest in peace.

Condolence: I first met Karen in February 1977, when I started working as an Industrial Engineer at the AFPRO/Boeing at the Developmental Center on the Minuteman Programs. Karen and the other contracting folks, under Del Boggs were just down the hall with Gary Wilson's Pricing Group. We worked all the time on cost proposals.

I worked on many of the same programs with Karen until she retired three years before me in 2002.

On my way back from hiking the North Pacific Coast beaches in Jan/Feb 2009, I stopped in and visited with Karen and Jack on the way back to Seattle. They had this incredible house about 4 miles up the hill from Port Angeles with great views.

I had a good time visiting with them. They were really enjoying retirement.

I miss Karen. During my 2002 battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, she bought me a wind up Mariners Mouse with a glove and uniform, which sang "Take Me Out to The Ballgame when one turned it on. I still have this Mariner Mouse.

I remember her humor. In her many different offices she had a funny framed AWACS saying mounted on the wall which said: AWACS: Advanced Whining and Complaining System.

Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Karen for over 25 years. She was one of the most competent people I ever worked with. Her knowledge of contracting and her programs was unsurpassed. I appreciated her outstanding loyalty and support. I also enjoyed her sometimes wicked sense of humor. I was lucky enough to spend some time with her off the job too. I went with her to my first Seahawks and Sonics games many years ago (the Seahawks played the Baltimore Colts and Jack Sikma was still with the Sonics). She will be missed by many. My sympathy and prayers go out to her family.

Condolence: I just heard of Karen's passing. So very sad. I was privileged to not only to work with Karen for 5 years but to be able to call her a friend. My wife and I shared many good times with Karen and Jack. She had a great laugh.
