Sean Robinson Prchal died on Thursday, September 11, 2014. He left us much too soon and we will miss him with all of our hearts.

Sean was born on October 2, 1996 in Moses Lake, Washington. He was incredibly kind, always quick with a smile and an encouraging word. He greeted people with his cheerful “goofy” wave and a honk of the horn. He was the “go to guy’ when people had hurts or worries. He literally bore the weight of other’s burdens on his shoulders and in his soul.

Sean’s entire school career was in Quincy. He started in MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers), then the Winky Bear Christian Preschool, and finally kindergarten through high school in the Quincy School District. Every summer from kindergarten through 8th grade, Sean attended Camp Lutherhaven with his childhood friends.

As a young boy and through his teens, Sean was involved in many activities that included swim team, 4-H (GQ’s Steer Clear) and Quincy High School’s FFA, where he won several Reserve Champion belt buckles. He played baseball from the time he could hold a bat to swing at the T-ball and also enjoyed playing football. Sean was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying both fishing and hunting. He loved riding quads and motorcycles and driving his truck. Sean also shared a love of the snow with his mom, and they were great snow-boarding buddies.

Sean played the bass guitar, and although he didn’t want people to know it, he had the singing voice of an angel. As a boy, he sang in “Shine: Community Christian Kids Choir”. Through the years, many teachers, coaches, and leaders invested into Sean’s life and influenced him positively.

Recently, Sean had begun to restore cars with his dad. They were working on a Jeep for his mom’s birthday, as well as an orange ’68 Chevy pickup that he dubbed “the pumpkin”. Sean had planned to go to college and then return to the farm to join his brother and dad in the day-to-day farming operations.

When he was 7 years old, Sean told his parents about his faith in Jesus Christ and his desire to be baptized. They not only approved, but joined him in that experience and were re-baptized themselves. He put his trust in Jesus Christ, and we now trust Jesus with the life and eternity of our beloved Sean. We will never forget him!

Sean is survived by his parents, David and Robin Prchal, his brother Dustin, his grandmother “Uma” Patricia Law, 9 aunts and uncles (along with their spouses), numerous cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Mary Prchal, and “Boompa” Jerry Law, his uncle Jim Prchal, his aunt Barbara (Prchal) Horton, and his cousin Joseph Weinand.

In keeping with Sean’s generous spirit, his family was thankful to support the organ donors program with the donation of Sean’s corneas.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Quincy High School Gymnasium. The family has requested that memorials be made in Sean’s name to the Quincy Booster Club for the Quincy Baseball, Pearly Whites, Fat Stock and the FFA.
